Tía Tula Spanish School, in collaboration with the Government of Spain (Junta de Castilla y León), is offering partial scholarships of one week for Spanish teachers in the US at high school, college or university level, with Spanish teacher training/ refresher course, accommodation, cultural activities, and travel insurance included. Meet other Spanish teachers, discover new resources for class, and visit Spain and Europe during the summer.

The Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) grant application for 2018-2019 is now open; if you are interested in starting or growing an Arabic or Mandarin Chinese program at your school apply today.
TCLP brings fully-funded Egyptian, Moroccan or Chinese teachers to K-12 schools across the U.S. to teach Arabic or Chinese language and culture for an academic year. Schools selected for a fully-funded award are only responsible for any fees related to certification if requested by the state or school district. The Exchange Teacher’s receive from TCLP a maintenance stipend of $20,000 and a housing allowance based on average housing prices for the assigned host community. Since 2006, TCLP has sponsored 262 teachers that have worked in 173 schools in 38 states impacting over 79,000 students! TCLP teachers have completed approximately 14,200 outreach hours to promote host school critical language programs and bring global experiences to local communities. Several schools in Texas are also alumni of the program.
Join these internationally-minded school communities to increase your students' global competencies. The application deadline for TCLP U.S. host schools is Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:59pm EST.
TCLP is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and is designed to increase the study and acquisition of important world languages in U.S. schools.
