From TFLA's 2022 Teacher of the Year: William Lee

NOVUM INITIUM: A NEW BEGINNING

As we slowly proceed with cautious optimism out of the pandemic of the past two and half years, teachers must reflect upon practices from previous years and decide what will continue to work in a post-pandemic world vs. what must be discarded. Teachers will also need to use their newly acquired "super powers" during the pandemic to help their students navigate a new reality. This workshop will examine how to utilize technology tools (e.g. GooseChase, Breakout EDU, etc.) in World Language classrooms to build proficiency-based instructional practices and, at the same time, reflect on pre-pandemic activities that can still be utilized in this new era. The activities presented in this session can be adapted for any language.
